PS2 ruined, i think...

My PS2 was working fine... I got Swap Magic 3.6

In order to use this i need to take the front cover thing off my PS2 cd tray. I unscrewed the first screw which u had to do then done the rest, but i forgot to put that specific 1st screw back in afterwards. My PS2 cd tray wont come out, if i try to eject it then i doesn't work, it makes a weird sound and if i use my slide thingy then it still don't work coz the screw was holding a small metal pole like thing in place so it would eject, and the pole thing fell out and in order to get it back in i need to eject it, but i can't... Any words of advice would be highly appreciated!!

Yeah, you can CAFEFULY pull out the disc tray manually and attach the pole with the screw. Make sure you have it out to it's fully open position. Then turn it on and press eject and see if it slides back in. If not turn it off and again being very careful you can push it back in to it's fully closed position. Then turn it on and press eject to se if it works.
This is what i did when my drawer was messed up, It would open part way and then go back in before you could put in a disc.
