i have questions to ask:

- do you need the slim ps2 to be able to work the swap magic disks, slid card, or flip top or can you use the old ps2 cuz i have the old ps2

-if you have swap magic, do you need the slide card or the flip top?

-can you just burn a game onto the cd-r/dvd-r or do you need sonething special to burn it?

DVD Decrypter to burn your games, or Alcohol 120%.

Swap MAgic works with the FAT PS2, you can use a slide card or a flptop

do you need a flip top for the fat ps2?

and if you download a game from torrent, cant you just burn it from torrent or do you still need the DVD Decrypter?

You can use either one. A slidecard will ONLY work with a fat PS2.
Swap Magic will work with any PS2 and they make fliptops for both types. Also the slimline has a set of tools that can be bought and installed rather than getting a fliptop. YOu wil find a lot of package deals online that have either swap maguc and these tools, or swap magic and a flip top

You need the other mod because without the fliptop, slidecard or tools mentioned above your PS2 would reset when you opened it. This means that you could not swap discs for your bacb up.
By using a flip topr or slidecard on an fat PS2 you will bypass the disc tray eject button so it will not reset.
Same with the fliptop or tools for the slimline, keeps it from resetting.

as long as you use a good quality 8X DVD-R about any good burning program out there can do it. With Swap Magic some games may require something special like rebuilding the ISO or removing garbage files. Or if it is a DVD9 (dual layer) disc it would have to be ripped down to DVD5. But i would say about 95% of the games you get will just be a strait up copy. DVD Decrypter is great for this and very easy to use and free. I have used DVD Decrypter for years on both my Xbox and PS2 games. Works much beter than Nero does. As far as torrents go you will have to do your research. You will not just be downloading a file then burning that to a disc. They are compressed files, which you have to uncompress with WinRAR, then you can burn them.
