Finding the right GTA: LCS version

i went to 4 different stores today and bought the GTA game. when i try it, it didn't ask me if want to downgrade my psp. i play the game outside of the store. it didn't work so i return it back. what's wrong? was it the right version? or do i need to have the AC Adaptor on?

After searching high and low i have found what you are looking for. Heres the version u need and dont.
working GTA: LCS (Pre 2.6 version):
ULES-00151# look for this code.
not-working (patched)GTA: LCS (Patched 2.6 Version):
ULES-00151#2
you can find these codes by a pic i have ^ there in the bottem middle. its the spine of the case look for these codes.
psp 1.50 with DH 3.01 emu
ps2
xbox
xbox 360
nintendo Wii

if i find the correct number on a new GTA game will it work? or is it only used version.
hold on! i have two questions for someone to answer. and please answer it.
1) if i play the game, how will i know it's the right version. will something pop up saying that i can downgrade my psp?
2) do i need the AC Adaptor on during the whole time?

GTA won't downgrade your psp, there is an exploit in the game that allows the downgrader to work, so you'll need your psp, the unpatched version of GTA, a pc, usb cable and the easy downgrader file.

yeah you will need fanjitas e-loader and the downgrade to downgrade to 1.5 Those codes i gave you are the ones you need to look for to see if its the patched version or not.
psp 1.50 with DH 3.01 emu

So simply, buy the game, if it has the ULES-00151# code in the spine of the case. It will work. If it has the ULES-00151#2 in there, it won't work. We will tell you what to do, if you get the right version.

Yeah, the game doesn't just say; "do you want to downgrade your PSP?" you have to use it to get HEN running and then downgrade it.
