Hi jdk5197
No problems here.
When you say you receive decrypter gives you the error - is this when ripping or burning? Nothing special on this one.
Sounds like may be during the burning part though - if you are using DVD
Decrypter to rip and burn you'll need to use a dual layer dvd.
Otherwise to fit to a single layer you'll need something like DVD Shrink to compress it.
How much hard drive space do you have available?

I have plenty of hard drive space left. The problem comes in after I use dvd fabdecrypter and DVD Shrink. Everything goes great until I try to burn it with decrypter. Decrypter gives me a message that there is not enough room on the dvd to hold the whole movie. After I use shrink everything looks normal, Shrink has no problem compressing the movie down. For some reason DVD Decrypter says I don't have enough room on the burn the entire movie. Did you have any problems backing up vendetta? Thanks James

Nope and others here have used Decrypter too to rip it.
What brand and format of media re you using like Sony -R 8x.
Is your drives firmware up to date?
Dumb question but you have Shrink set to DVD-5?

I am using Imation DVD+R 16x. And my firmware is up to date. I finally got it to work by backing up the movie only. I guess I'll just have to settle for that for now. I hav'nt had a problem backing up a dvd in a long time until now. Thanks for trying to help.

I've been having a problem with Nero myself. I shrunk it, and in the properties it says 4.51 GB (4,850,946,048 bytes) Now the disc i'm using is a 4.7gb so from the first look, it will fit but in brackets that number seems to count and therefore won't fit. What the devil should i do lol.

Hi shadydawg
What program did you use to compress it? Like Shink, CloneDVD etc.
The amount that will fit a single layer disc is 4.38 - so you're just a bit above the limit.

Hi binkie7.
Yes i used DVD Shrink. I have un-ticked the foreign languages and audio. Do i need to lower the quality of the movie to about 50%? I wasn't sure by lowering the quality it would lower the space but if it does i shall :).
p.s. Thanks for the quick responce :)

Ok you can uncheck all the audios - leave AC3 5.1 to help reduce the compression.
You can also make whatever extras you want don't want a still pic to help compression.
Or just do movie only (no menus or extras) in reauthor mode.
Taking it down to 50% - yep will reduce the quality. How much is noticable - well that will depend on what you play it back on and what you're okay with.
I try to keep mine around 70 - 80% of the original.
Since you probably already have it on your hard drive - run it thru Shrink again - but removing maybe another audio or making a still pic of an extra - then it will fit.
No problem on the respone - email notifications are great :)

Make sure you have your target size set at 4334 in you preferences. I did this one with Shrink, movie only, and it came in at 76%. I left out the extra which is an extra 44 minutes on a movie that is already over two hours, so your compression is really going to be high.
