I always use DVD FAB first then tend to use VOB Blanker and then use DVD Shrink which auto burns through an altenate program - When I try to use DVD FAB it gets stuck at VTS 04-02, when I tried DVD Shrink alone it gave me error cyclidic redundancy check (spelling?) I'm not too proficient at using DVD Dycrypter, but trying this now...any tips?
Hi,Cyclic redundancy check usually appears with a bad disc maybe a blemish on the disc ,Or could be a bad pressing,You could try isobuster if that fails you could return the disc for an exchange,Sorry can't help more.
thanks for the help...maybe the disk I have is already damaged... it is old and was trying to back it up before my son damaged it any further...maybe a nice thought, but a little late...Thank You...What is ISO Buster?
Ok - so I have dl ISO Buster, but am having troubles finding a guide on how to use this....any tips or guides that you know of?
Well, it looks like I can't do anything with this for free... but it is saying there are no physical read errors on the image iso..
So I think I may need to just give up and buy a new disk free of damage....
Thanks for all your help, if you've got anything else post back..thank you
yes, unfortunatly I don't remember what it said but it got to about 67% and errored out...I did try cleaning it with no avail... I am stuck with the copy I have I guess...Thanks guys for all your help!
can you see a scratch or any imperfection in the disk? sometimes you can try buffing it out. does the disk play flawlessly in your dvd player? if so, i would recommend against buffing, just in case you make matters worse. if you have a number of disks that are giving the same error, it might be worth spending the $37 at walmart to buy "skip doctor", which is a motorized surface renewal/buffing device that can usually correct all but the most serious gouges and allow for at least perfect viewing if not almost always backing up.
To try isobuster change the drive at the top left panel to the drive containing your disc,Hopefully you should then have an audio and a video folder on the right panel,Right click the video folder and choose extract to your desktop or somewhere you will be able to find it,It can take a little while but it's worth it.Good luck.
Yes there is a few really small scratches on the disk. It is my 4 yr olds and I am in the process of backing up all his disks (now that I know how) to keep a good copy from getting damaged. I will try the isobuster as suggested...and I will probably invest in the skip dr to try to fix some of the minor scratches in the disks we own. Oh, and yes it plays flawlessly in my DVD player, just won't copy.
Thank you for all your help, I will let you know on my progress.
