I'm having problems with backing up american pie presents bandcamp. I'm tried using DVDShrink with and without AnyDVD but the program will quit once I start the backup process. Has anyone had similar issues? How did you get around it?

Hi Rogue_77
AnyDVD should handle it w/ Shrink.
Using the latest AnyDVD - 6.0.4.5?

You can also try ripping w/ DVD Fab Decrypter (free) than processing those files thru Shrink.

Is the disc clean or damaged?

@Rogue_77
That version I think would handle it. That version is from 1/2006 & Band Camp came out b/4 then.
Yep - sounds like time for you to update for AnyDVD - that version may not handle the newer Sony & Macrovision ones.

Did you try DVDFab Decrypter? (link above)
Or DVD Decrypter?

I installed a newer version of AnyDVD 6.0.4.3. Nothing
I even tried running ripping it to the computer using DVD Decryptor before trying to compress the files and DVD Shrink quit wiht some unknown error.
The disc is brand new

Maybe I'll try using DVD Fab then

Try using AnyDVD's ripper. Right click fox and select ripper option and open the files in Shrink and proceed as usual. If that doesn't work open them in VOBBlanker and then ShrinK.

@Rogue_77
If you are using decrypter w/ AnyDVD - make sure you have these settings changed: Go to Tools>Settings
General Tab - uncheck 'check for structure protection'
CSS Tab - under CSS Cracking Method - have 'none' checked
I/O tab - under interface either SPTI-Microsoft or ElbyCDIO should be checked.

If fab decrypter doesn't work either you might have a bad press and should exchange it.

Those are for DVD Decrypter when using AnyDVD.

If that fails then there's the ripper in AnyDVD or ripping / DVDFab decrypter if you haven't tried those yet.

You can use DVDDecrypter to rip it. But you need to use VobBlanker first, before you try to open the file in DVDShrink. Otherwise, shrink will give you an error.

Ok, I finally got it working.

I had to use DVDFab Express to copy the disc to my HD, then use VOB Blanker then I can use DVD Shrink and Decryptor to put it onto disc.
