Hi, was playing pro evo last night and thought it would be fun to play online, I have a slimline ps2 and have read that I don't need to buy a network adapter as its already built in or something. Could someone please tell me exactly what I do need. Cheers.

you should read your instruction manual that came with your slim pstwo. it should explain it all.

all you need to do is plug in the ethernet cable into the slim pstwo then start up the ps2 start up disc so that u can create a save file for online mode or whatever. i dont know if u can do this with the slim but thats how i did it with my fat ps2. once u set it up, u can go online to play your games.

no need for a startup disc as most if not all online games have a section for you to setup online settings.

there are a lot of different ethernet cables like the crossover and straight-thru ethernet cable..im not to sure witch 1 ur supost 2 get and were to get it from...help any1

I bought a straight thru one and ps2 keeps saying "network cable not connected" or something along those lines. Had a router delivered this morning so will see if I can get it going through that rather than the modem.
