Neither Shrink or DVD Decrypter can do the movie on their own. They can not handle the newer encryptions.

@ yourawful,

u can make a full back up, all u have to do is run the ripped folder thru VobBlanker then proceed with shrink

VobBlanker http://www.videohelp.com/~jsoto/vobblanker.htm

here is a guide
http://www.dvdr-digest.com/articles/article_vobblanker_page1.html

@ nikkia,

Do the same thing, u have to run the folder thru VobBlanker after u used decrypter, then run the output folder of VobBlanker thru shrink and presto u have a back up ready to burn.

Using clonedvd2 it stops at chapter 10 and I get this message
D:/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_3.VOB: READ ERROR
DATA ERROR (CYCLIC REDUNDANCY CHECK).
IF READING THE MEDIA HAS FAILED, PLEASE CLEAN SURFACE AND TRY AGAIN.
[FILE 1 DVD:/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_3.VOB 23 PICTURE READER]

No idea what this means at all hahaha.

Canucker6,
Rip the DVD to HD using the rip feature in AnyDVD. Then use CloneDVD

It means you have a smudged, dirty or otherwise marred disc. Clean and try again. AnyDVD and CloneDVD2, no problems....

I just purchased this movie on the way home from work.
Backed it up using RipIt4Me. Not a single problem.
It's now running through DVD Rebuilder.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

Canucker6,
Right click the fox head in the tasbar bar. You will see Rip DVD-Video to Hard Disk. If it fails again then it is a bad press, scratches etc and you need to get a better copy as you might try exchanging it for a better one

Same as Nikkia, I was also finally able to back up a copy. I ripped it with AnyDVD to my HD and reauthored it (keeping the movie and some deleted scenes). No menus...works great.

I am kind of old school here I use FAB and Shrink. If I am reading the posts correctly, is it impossible to back up Inside Man with my favorite combo? Is it time to evlove with the times? What combo should I be using from now on? thanks.

godzillla,
When I did the movie I got an error on the 1st VOB so I then used VobBlanker and that cleaned up the error. The main thing to remember is if you rip it properly and you get an error then just run it through VobBlanker and that usually fixes any of the structure errors that stop Shrink, CloneDVD or whatever program you use from proceeding

Canucker6,
If you have the newest version of AnyDVD then in the taskbar is a fox head. Right click it and the option is there. If it is not there then you have an old version or a crack copy.
