the problem that i am having is when i went to to use DVD Shrink with the movie inside man- i got this error exception occurred-parameter is incorrect so i used dvd fab dycrypter at least got it on the hard drive but when i go to put it on blank dvd this is the error that i get..any ideas it did have the running boy at the beginnig. I also use any dvd in the back ground.thanks

use shrink after you rip to your hard drive open up the file with shrink and click on reauthor the running boy is listed under unreference delete the un reference file then try to burn the movie only

thanks so much for all your helpful posts! got a question about this one (inside man) though. read all the posts on the site. used the latest version of fabdecrypter (2.9.8.3)(took forever by the way, at least seemed unusually long to me) and ran it through VOB blanker but still have most of the "extras" turn out "black" screen only and get error when burning, re invalid dvd structure. no problem at all burning the main movie only. any ideas about how to use that software combo and get the "extras" to be viewable? thanks!

Did you run it through RipIt4Me, there is a new version that just came out. FixVTS should take care of those blank cells.

There shouldn't be any "black" extras. Where are you seeing this? All the extras on the disc I kept--with the exception of the trailers for other movies--plus, I booted the FBI warnings, commentary screens etc.
I did all that and then opened up MenuShrink. I ditched the menu's audio and froze the menus. I then opened up Shrink and lo and behold, I had a NICE compression rate but still keeping everything that I want.
Yeah, lots of steps but the final product is perfect for me.
Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

I opened the shrink and went to open files to reauthor and i see 3 titles 1. menus 2. main movie 3. extras where do i find the un under unreference to delete?

just burn Main movie just double click on main movie and backup you will only have the movie nothing else

Run the file through VobBlanker using the guide that I linked and then open Shrink and process.

i started to run "inside man" through ripit4me and saw after a couple of minutes that it was going to take around an hour for dvddecrypter to process it, and had too many other things to do with my computer time. since i have watched the movie and made a backup of the movie only, it (backup movie with extras) is low priority for now. i'll get around to it on some rainy day when i spend more time with the computer. as a "shortcut" i tried running the dvdfabdecrypter output files through fixvts... but shrink still wouldn't work. another day. i'll just start over fresh and see if things work. oddly enough, i've had that happen before. don't change anything, just do it again, and it works.

what i meant to say was that when i preview everything in clonedvd2, all but the main movie and preview are "black screen" for the duration of each other "chapter" (not the right word, but each separate selectable/deletable portion of the dvd). when i view those same things in vobblanker they are pixelated. again, the main movie and previews are fine. i'll explore that too on another day.

Thanks you guys it is all good now I was able to reuthor with shrink take the main movie and burn it with the shrink to blank dvd...you are the greatest i just love the forum
