First off. Delete all the serial numbers at the beginning of your post.
As far as the burn problem is concerned, there are several issues from the post. You could use a little more memory. Most people recommend at least 512 MB to burn DVDs. In addition, shut down all other programs and do not multitask when burning.
Also, there appears to be a problem with the discs.

I would highly recommend using a different type of disc. There is a reason they are referred to as Memosux. Try Verbatim.

unfortunately I do not know how to edit that post to take off serial numbers, and the local walmart doesnt offer very many choices in media so i took what they had, and I have written many, many dvds on this computer without modifications, and used this media before, so im still confused why all of the sudden it acts different. none of these situations addressed are new is what im trying to say, so why now the change?

dhamrick:
I understand your frustration and can't give you a direct answer to your question. I have burned discs before in a spindle that worked fine and then the next disc in the spindle will not work. Not sure what causes it but it does happen.
I think most people on the board would agree that there are certain steps you can take which will help you avoid the majority of problems people experience with burning:
1. Use good media. See the list previously provided.
2. Make sure your firmware is up to date so that your burner will recognize the media you are using. This is especially true with older burners and 16x media.
3. Make sure you have enough memory.
4. Try to close down all other programs which may be running in the background.
Based on the Nero log, it is clear that your burner does not like the discs you are using.

If you do these things, it is most likely going to solve your problems. If not, post back with a new Nero log after you have done the items suggested and maybe we can help you further.

The firmware upgrade is here
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2110
This is the link for your drive.
Hopefully once you update the firmware for your drive it will recognize some 16x media. Although I would still recommend that you stay far away from Memorex and some of the other cheaper brands of media.
A couple of bucks can save you a lot of headaches in the long run. You can refer to the list previously provided for good media.

Your firmware is 104C as indicated by 300bowler...
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2110
The Maxell +R printables at wally world should be Hitachi High Grade, they rank right up there with the Verbs and TY's.
You still need to remove your serial numbers from your first post...click on the pen and paper icon in the upper right corner of your first post to edit it.
