PS2 Drive won't open

I recently put a hard drive in my ps2. I am using LordBogami to rip my games onto the hard drive. I was copying one over when it had a disc read error at around 84%. It asked me if I wanted to continue reading the disc, and I said yes. So it kept going but it stayed at 84%. It got up to like 2000 disc errors and I said screw it, and shut it off. Now my ps2's blue light will not come on and I can not use it to open the drive. Also, nothing shows up on the tv, but it sounds like it is loading up.

Please Help!

Try disconnetcing the power for about 5 - 10 seconds and then plug it back in.

Does it sound like the drive is trying to open, or do you get nothing at all? Have you ever opened the PS2 before? I wonder if when you put the hdd in, it hit a ribbon cable that was not quite put back where it should be (if it has been opened before).

it doesnt sound like it is trying to open..and i have never opened the case before...although i did mod the drive for a slide card
