i burnt swap magic to a cd-r disk now people said you either have to get the actual thing or get a mod well what mod do i need and how can i get it please help please

A burnt copy of swap magic is completly useless. To play burnt games, you have 2 choices:
1. Buy the original swap magic discs
2. Have a modchip installed in your ps2.

Yes, you need a modification, there wouldnt be mouch of a point of buying swap magic if we could burn it and use it. The disk has original ps2 code on it, which is why the ps2 reads it.
