hi guys i want to go on line with my ps2.
i dont have a pc and my ps2 is the older type .
i all ready have a ethernet adatper < the one that fits in the rear >
its a standard station ie no chips.
im thinking of going with BT for the broadband.
can i go on line with out putting it though a pc .
sort of plug and play . what router/ modem would i need to do this.
i have had a very good look at the threads posted on this site.
but i cant seem to find any with what im looking for.
any help on this matter will help greatly.
want to play socom and that kind of shooter on line

Go with blueyonder. You can get up to 10Mb with them & they don't impose a d/l limit. You'll most likely get a Motorola Surfboard modem, which are among the best.

whatever modem they send you, just make sure it has an ethernet port and is not usb only connection to PC.

Thanks fellas . but if any one has gone down this road of getting on line with out useing a pc post me with what router/modem your useing
, but i see what you guys are saying .
i just need a router/modem with ethernet ports.
now i hear the terms need to reconfiger < bad spelling >
will i have to do this or get someone to do it for me.
or am i just pluging in and playing.
any help will meet great thanks

you can just use any online game and automatically setup the adapter settings (unless you're in europe 'cause then you need to use the disc that came with the ps2 to get a central station account correct me if I'm wrong on this one fellas)
