I have used DVD Shrink for quite a while with no problems but recently I keep getting the following error when the disk starts to burn. I'm using Sony media. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here's some suggestions:

Turn DMA back on for this drive. Here's a guide:

The firmware on your drive is up to date but since it's a little older drive - max burn of 8x - it may not like the 16x media. This might be the reason for the Illegal disc error. Your drive may do better w/ 8x media like the Sony, Verbatim or made in Japan Fuji.

Roxio doesn't always play well w/ Nero. You can unisntall Roxio - looks like version 8 and run the clean tool:

set your burn speed to 4x not 8x.

where are the Shrink files? are you trying to use the original DVD to make a one to one copy with Nero?

After turning on the DMA and using the Roxio clean tool everything is working great, thanks for all your help.
