my mom has a Razr. my sister has a slvr.
i need to decide by next week this time which to get.
which should i get?

I got a razr and I like it better than the slvr. Never had a slvr though so I can't say razrs are better. I guess it depends on what you prefer, a flip phone or a non-flip phone and what features you like better of the 2 phones. Which version razr and slvr are you thinking of getting??

get the SLVR much more durable then the RAZR i worked for Cingular and people would alwsays give me shit about the razor's NON-Durabilty. it would break.crack.whatever really easily. The sliver obvosuly doesnt FLIP which is good. Ive had the sliver for 5 months now and LOVE it. I was never a fan of candy-bar style phone til by buddy steve showed my this new phone he got back in Jan 06 called the SLIVER...i was VERY impressed so i got myself one when my VZW contract was up in March.

Pros:
itunes, durable,EXCEPTIONAL batt life over the RAZR!
things u can do all at once: itunes, IM, Internet, take pics.
free 512MB card...upgradable to 1gb
Cons: the moto UI (grrr...but w/ the new RIZR that will be fixed :-) )
only 5 megs on internal memory used for Ringers/pics. NOT EDGE only GPRS.

oh and even tho Cingular says the RAZR can have MobiTV....they are SEROUSLY kidding themselves....it will look like SH1T cuz its not EDGE. The SLVR IS NOT edge either.

i've been leaning a bit toward the Razr because it was a flip...i used my sister's slvr and it felt sort of uncomfortable because i wasn't sure if i was talking into the phone or not...

As of right now I am planning on getting a RAZR or a SLVR when my contract expires. I just got my phone on December 25th of this year so I assume there will be a new bid thing for cell phones out then that I will want. I am kinda leaning towards the SLVR just because of the size of it and how it is smaller than the RAZR im pretty sure and a little because I have had a flip phone ever since my 1st phone so I think it would be a good change to go back to a candybar style phone for a bit.

listen u NEWBIES...a cell phones mic is CRAZY sensitve....specilay the razor and the sliver. if u look at a sliver its a PINHOLE mic. and u can talk normally like 2-3 feet away from it. its not like a old school land line where u must speak directly into the reciever. the bluetooth headsets are the same way (like the sliver and razor). abvously the head set is no wehre near your mouth yetppl can hear u clear as day. Basically w/ the SLIVER its a decent phone...and for the cat who asked "what is edge?" its like having the internet on your phone that goes to speed like DSL up to 700K. and a 3G phone is like a cable modem. lightnig fast speeds. GPRS is like having a 56K modem. REALLY sluggish and in most cases unbearable. Neither phone is EDGE like i said. The only reason u would buy the sliver is for itunes. If u could care less about listing to music...just cop a RAZR and be happy...NA MEAN?!!
