HI I just found a RAZR, LUCKY ME ^^. I turned it on and went through the adress book, saw that the phone wasn't from canada but from the states.
Now heres the kicker. The phone turns on fine, no phone lock. When I put my SIM card in it asks for a " Enter Subsidy Password" now I don't get that. Is it a company lock? I've had phones locked to other networks but they never asked for passwords for foreign SIMs. Or prehaps a SIM lock put in by the previous owner :S Anyway hoe do I get around this. BTW I found this at the hotel and the guest that dropped it is long gone so ya... Just don't make me feel guilty. Please any help would do me good.

r u sure it doesnt say enter PUK code? cuz if it says that ur guna have to call CS. try all 1s or all 0s. if that doesnt work, peep howardforums.com cats on that site or VERY VERY knowlegable. im sure they can help. what kind of SIM was in this phone to begin w/?

Ya its not asking for a PUK code. Whats CS mean? The original SIM was Cingular, and what do you mean try all 1's and 0's? Sorry I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to unlocking phones.

Dude,
CS = Customer Service

Try 1's or 0's = Try 4 x 0 (0000)(1111)

I hope the person that owned it changed the factory default (0000), I always do, so when someone steals (not saying or implying you did)or finds the phone they can only use it till it goes flat or the phone is hacked.

These phones cannot be unlocked remotely like the NOKIA phones. You have two ways to unlock the phone:

1. Read some of the above thread to figure out how to make it work urself
