1st of all... you guys ROCKS !! I had used this forum in many times for help and tutorials for PC and PS2 uses. But finally registered here and asking a question. Tried the searched and found too many hits, and its hard to get to the point for which im looking for. So here goes.
I can burn the hdloader in a cd and boot it. cause i have used the sms media player so i know how it should work. So do i need to use that hdloader cd everytime to boot and play games from the HDD ? Or when i use the hdloader 1st time it will install itself in the HDD ? The lens of my ps2 is near about gone.. so trying to work this hdd function out now, to save the lens and whats left of it.
What i got is ulaunch elf with sms media player in a cd and a usb pen drive. I copy the hdloader in that pen drive and use the ulauncer boot cd and opened the browser and went inside the "mass" and use the hdloader, it says hdd not found(since its not all connected anyway - was just testing).
So my question is this : will i have to use this cd everytime to load the browser 1st and then go inside the "mass" to access the hdloader from the usb pen drive ?
I would want to install all the stuffs in the hdd,so whenever i start my ps2 it should boot directly from the hdd. I have read the above thread also and http://sksapps.com/ but its not written nowhere on how to actually use this thing.

Also if you have a modchip that supports DEV1 mode, you can also copy HDLoader to your MC so you don't need a disc.
Does magic 3.1 got DEV 1 ?? I got no idea what all that means...
Just want to use HDD function so i don't have to use the ps2 lens at all. And what if after some time the lens goes off completely. So i gotta boot this hdloader from HDD or MC..
Think you guys know what i mean to say here.
