I have a 2600 with Telstra - Australia.
The IMEI is 35839400-170669-1
how do i get the unlock code?

Oky Doky.
Here we go.
I think there is a slight chance we may be able to help you providing you have NOT tried any codes before.
We are getting a lot of trouble with Telstra phones.
Try this Once and only once and tell me the message you get.
Once!!
Please read ALL of the instructions below before you start.See the "Note:If nothing happens." below.

Is this correct?
If you know the risks, try this ONCE and ONLY ONCE and let us know if it works. You have only 3 to 5 tries and then it will be hard locked. After that you will need a cable thing-a-me-jiggy to unlock it. It will still work on your Network so no big loss.

Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p) \
Press * 4 times fast for (w) IMPORTANT
Press * 2 times fast for (+) /
and the rest of the code---
IMPORTANT!!
Verify code before pressing the last #.
Pay attention. You only heve about two seconds.
Note:If nothing happens. Some Phones require that you to insert a non accepted sim, you will see "phone restricted", press UNDO option and enter the code in the restriction box and press ENTER.
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked.
"Error code" wrong code.STOP tell me.
"Not allowed" or "Can Not Undo Restriction" it's hard locked. Used up all your free tries!!
DO let us know if this works.

NO NO NO.
Each phone is unique and needs its own code.
Let's see if it works for chickenau before I give you a code.
It may not be important but what State are you in? How old is the phone?

OK then. Must be midnight at in the Capital. I am 14 hours behind you. You might want to encourage chickenau to respond. (In the morning!!)

That means we got it wrong.
The truth is we have been struggling with Telstra for months.
Here are all the normal choices for your phone.
Model: Nokia (2600 )
IMEI: 357054004858011
Network: 50501000
#pw+706160723452477+1#

#pw+937242353573451+4#
#pw+186394703404503+5#
#pw+788300101654115+6#
#pw+858391077674406+7#
You have tried # 7.
The next choice should be #1 and then # 5.
That has not been working.
I would like you to try # 6 followed by # 4. I have NEVER seen that tried. It is up to you.
Or I could shift gears and use a different setting and try
#pw+858291077674406+7# the next choice for that phone.
Or #pw+859711077674406+7#
These three codes below are the result of settings that will unlock any 2600 around the world.
#pw+858391077674406+7#
#pw+858291077674406+7#
#pw+859711077674406+7#
You have already tried the first.
The logical thing to do is try the other two.
Go over what I have said and yout guess is as good as mine.
Aftre these codes I would have to try something that has never been tried.

i just tried +1..... but got another code error im just gunna wait and ask sum1 abotu da phone just to be sure then yeah.... we only have 5 tries rite b4 it hardlocks.... arghh only 3 more..
