If you have already tried different codes before mine your mobile could already be hardlocked.
If it is hardlocked you will get one the following messages Can Not Undo Restriction / Not Allowed
If you mobile is hardlocked the only way to unlock it is by taking/sending it to a professional unlocker.
Please make sure the information you give is correct before typing in the codes.

If the mobile gives no response/no message then do the following: Insert a non accepted sim, press the undo button, a box should appear saying enter restriction code, enter the code given and press ok
Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked!
tried it without a sim and it just had no response when i entered the code. so i put my 3 sim in and booted up - it booted up, just wouldn't find a network, entered the code and it said "code error"

Do it with another non-accepting sim any apart from 3 and it should be fine :)
A 3G network sim will not work with the 6230/i not comaptible, thats why I said any sim but 3, but also not using another BT sim goes without saying. :)

Find either a Vodafone,T-Mobile,Orange,Virgin, or Tesco sim and the code should work ;)
