Sorry for these questions recently.

I want to back up my dvd's and keep all the extras and menus. I am happy with a compressed version. Also i don't want to have to copy all the contents to my hard drive and then modify them.

I know about dvdxcopy but i'm not prepared to use 2 discs.

Can you help me, is there a programm that does this for me.

I use DVDdecrypter to rip the dvd, DVD2one to compress the file, and Nero burning rom to burn the movie. This makes everything fit nicely on 1 disc and you can keep the menu's, etc. You do have to copy the contents to hd however.

Use DVD Shrink. It is what you are looking for.

Why don't you want to copy files to your hard drive? You should have at least 10 GB free to do any DVD burning.

In your question, you listed the options available to you; either use DVDXcopy, or use the other software that copies file to your hard drive. I guess your other option is get 10 GB of RAM for your computer and use a RAM drive.

All the bruning info you need to start is here: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/141024.php#dvd9dvd2one

I was only offering it to show that not wanting to copy files to the hard drive is silly. :)
