I recently installed a new 300GB HD in my PS2 to use HDLoader 0.8B.
However, now that I've loaded about 180G of games on it, it won't load any more. It just goes to the "Initializing Installation" screen and stays there.
Is there any way to correct this? I hate the thought of having to take the HD out of the system and put it in my PC, and I just can't get FAPlink to work for some reason. :P
Have you tried using HDL_dump/dumb? Transfers games over the network. Takes about an hour per 4 gig game, but you can queue up as many ISOs that you want and start the job. By the time you get home from work, you have a bunch of new games to play. You can get Lorg Bogamis GUI for dump/dumb at sksapps.com.
I have no idea why HDL wont load games for you. This is just an alternative method. Good luck.
Its been a while since i read up on hd loader, but the older versions have a limit on the size of hd you can use. There is a patch that will unlock the limit.
Faplinks a bad choice but you could try a USB to ide Adaptor cable (complete with a 5W power supply for the HDD) and software called winhiip. Takes about 3 -4 mins to convert a game (either way traffic) and you wont have to change the jumpers on the HDD.
