I am slightly confused and wonder can people help me.

Have recently tried using both Imagemixer 3 and WinDVD Creator 2.0 to try and edit and author my camcorder clips (recorded in widescreen) onto a DVD.

The problem i have is that whislt i would prefer to use the WinDVD software as it edits the clips in the way i would like, the output from the software produces a dvd that does not play well on my dvd/tv. It doesn't seem to be able to play in widescreen without stretching the width of the images. The only way i can get a clear and undistorted picture is bt agjusting my tv to be 14:9. This means that there is then a great big black frame around the whole of the image!!!

I have used the imagemixer 3 software to create a dvd that does have the right aspect ratio to suit the screen however it really is not a useful piece of editting software. There is no timeline capabilities or transition effects available or even to add your own blank titles into your dvd.

The picture quality of the imagemixer is slightly better than windvd but the nicer dvd discs lean me towards using windvd.

Does anyone know if WinDVD settings can be changed or altered to create correct widescreen dvd's?

Are there any tweaks or settings that i could use in Imagemixer that could make editing a little more pain free?

I am using Toshiba 32" widescreen tv
pioneer dvd player (2 years old)
