My computer keeps turning off and on. When i am doing nothing at all(idle) it turns off after like 18 minutes. It restarts my comp and goes to this screen and says Disk Boot Failed. Insert system disk and press enter. I just restart manually and it works but its annoying. any solutions? My only solution is that when i am dloading overnight, I Stick a pencil between the letters I and U, so it can tell the comp that I am not Idle. Yes i know what am i thinking, but it works. But the only time it turns off when i am not idle is when i am decrypting a game/movie with dvdecrypter. It goes bout 20% then BAM its off and back on to the screen disk boot fail. yup yup.... sooo....... thats all i can think of. Please dont tell me its spyware, because i have formatted my drive bout 3 times, scanned with AVG 5 times a day, Spybot S&D 5 times daily. and yes i have that stupid ewido thing.

Could be a few possible causes. First thing to look at is overheating. Take off the side panel of the case and check if all the fans are working. Clean the inside with a can of compressed air.

Smells like an upcoming hard drive failure too. If you can, back up what you need off that system as soon as possible. Then, run the diagnostic program from the hard drive manufacturer's website...usually found in their support section.
