Ok my friend and i just softmodded my xbox with SID 4 we picked evo-x and we modded maps for Halo 2. The problem is we don't know how to get on XBl i tried every thing, i know it has to be on DHCP and every time we try to go on the ip changes. So we looked at some tutorials and it said you haver to cold boot which we did.It didn't work can any body help us?

Read the bottom of this tutorial.

It tells you how to get on live with SID 4.0.

If you set it up right it should. Did you make sure that you did dual boot to retail? If you did, turn your xbox on via eject button. If your led is green, then you are good to go on live. If not, then Idk whats wrong w/ your xbox.

Your not supposed to go on Live with your Xbox Softmod enabled. It will get you banned instantly. Turn your softmod off and boot in the regular Xbox Dashboard and then start Live.

PSP: Black 3.10OE-A, (2) 2 GIG Sony Pro Duo and (3) 4 GIG Sony Pro Duo

PSP LIFE: 1.0->1.5->2.0->2.01->2.60->2.70->2.80->1.5->3.03OE-A->3.03OE-C->3.10OE-A

But i can't get to the ms dash we followed that tutorial rain had and the only way to get to MS dash is you backup which will erase the mods right.
I don't know what my DHCP settings are supposed to be i always guess by making the bottom ip one more then the top ip then i boot up and it doesn't work then when i go to the softmod dash it says very thing is okay

if your maps are modded and you restore your ms backup no you will not loose your maps and dhcp means your IP address is configured automatically. go to system>settings>network>type and change that to dhcp and make sure you have it enabled that is right about type
