Ok I have a couple of questions.

1. If I have swap magic, can I use it to load a burned copy of breaker pro, and then swap the burned breaker pro for the PSX/PS1 backup on my PS2? Essentially doing a triple swap to save 20$?

2. Is there any other/cheaper way (than buying a breaker pro) of loading PSX/PS1 backups on the PS2 that I am not aware of?

3. Can you use Playstation 2 controllers and PS2 Memory cards when playing PS1 games? And what about vice-versa? I've never tried so I'm not sure? Can you use PS1 controllers/memcards on PS2 games?

4. About using the gameshark: Is it true that all you have to do is put in ANY Playstation 1 gameshark in the ps2, select the boot without codes option and swap (using fliptop ofcourse) for a backup ps1 game? If this is true, why would anyone buy a breaker pro?

5. What is to be done about multi-disc PS1 backups (FF7, FF8, Chrono Cross)? Do u just swap normally or is their some trick u have to do? Or is it just impossible?

And before you give me the rundown about "search the forums this question is asked a lot", please know that I did search through pages of this forum and the cd backup forum, and the only thing I got was "search the forums this question is asked a lot" instead of a solid answer. If it's asked so much why isnt there a sticky somewhere about it?

1. Don't think so, as far as I can remember BreakerPro has a false TOC too big for Swap Magic to boot.

2. PsOne Bonus Codes disc that came with old Datel/InterAct versions of Gameshark/AR2 for PS2. Memory Card Exploit. Or a PsOne Gameshark.

3. No, you must use PS1 Mem cards with PS1 games, and PS2 Mem Cards with PS2 games. I think you may be able to use the controllers, but obviously all functions won't be available. ie: Vibration, pressure-sensitive buttons.

4. Yes its true. PS1 Gamesharks are hard to come by, whereas BreakerPro is still being widely sold.

5. There are normally save points at the end of each disc. So you just save, reset PS2, then reboot with new disc.

And, you can only have so many sticky topics in a forum, there are hundreds of commonly asked questions, and the forum would look cluttered with hundreds of stickies that cover them all.

Thanks for everything, but one question:

Are you sure about the gameshark thing? A PS1 gameshark is quite common on eBay and can be had for cheap (under 10-15$) whereas the BreakerPro can cost 20-30$ and you can't have cheat codes w/ it. For EG, will the following gameshark work to load backups:
