soo i have the xapt3r installed, i used this guide http://www.xbox-modchips.com/tutorials/xapt3r-tutorial.htm. I have a 1.4 xbox. and now i have no idea how to install the chip itself. i've seen more than enough guides on how to do it with a soldering tool...but seeing how this is solderless, I was hoping to find a guide on how to install the chip on to the xapt3r. any help is more than greatly appreciated. thanks!

Now I'm trying to flash the chip. I want to do the HTTP flashing, but I cant even try it because I can't get the MS dashboard to start up. I thought I was just suppose to press the power button down for a long time to bypass the chip and go straight to the MS dashboard? If I can get to the MS dashboard, I think I'll be straight. any suggestions? thanks again!

I have an xecuter 3 ce and im trying to flash it with the x3 3249. i know i dont use the MS dashboard to flash the chip. but from what i've read, i need to get to the MS dashboard in order to change the IP address and the subnet mask for the xbox. so i just need to know how to get to the ms dashboard. i thought you just help the power button on the front of the xbox and it would override the chip and go to the MS dashboard.

if your going through a router and your xbox his hooked up to the router, then it should assign the xbox an ip address....just type that ip address into internet explorer and you will be brought to the flash bios screen on your ocmputer....

okay here's what I did..just plugged in the crossover cable from my laptop to my to my xbox. i turned my xbox on. i then click on the first option on the FLASHBIOS screen (the flash via http). then after it initializes, i get this message : DHCP FAILED - falling back to 192.168.0.99

so i type that IP address http//:192.168.0.99 into the URL bar in IE and it then my IE says "this page cannot be displayed" i'm sure other people have had this problem. i just cant seem to find it in other threads. i do appreciate the help man.
