Hi guys:
I am trying to edit out some part of a movie with DVDShrink, but I ended up with to separate entities. So I have to start manually the second part after the first had been played. Does anybody know hot to put this parts together without having to use expensive software (I prefere freeee)?
Thanks guys.
You can use shrink and the reauthor tool.....just drag the movie over once and use the start and end frames to the point of the unwanted scene and then drag the movie again and use the start frame after the unwanted scene. It is a slow method but free.......I believe you can do this several times and you will end up with only one movie......
Get VobBlanker, it's fast, free and simple, plus it does more than you could ever imagine (cut, strip, edit, or blank andy scenes, correct/fix structural issues).

Hi guys again:
Thanks guys for your inputs.
Gramsie, sorry I was not clearer. Precisely I did that, what you are suggesting:
Quote: ?just drag the movie over once and use the start and end frames to the point of the unwanted scene and then drag the movie again and use the start frame after the unwanted scene. ?
Is exactly what I did with the movie I am reediting/reauthoring. The point is that each time that you make a process, an IFO and a BUP file are created, beside the VOBs. So, the second time that I process the movie ?again and use the start frame after the unwanted scene,? ?.again an IFO and BUP are created, WITH THE SAME NAMES AS IN THE FIRST ?PASS.? So obviously, if you do not want that the files with the same name would be erased (as DVDShrink will do for the second process), you have to (or I had to) put it in a different folder, so you end up with to different entities that will not play automatically one after the other (both entities having many of the files with the samen name, so obviously they cannot coexist in the same folder). The question that I made at the beginning is: How do I put this to 2 entities together so they will behave as one?
For what alkohol tells me, I understand that VobBlanker bypass this issue and solves the problem directly. Still I would like to know how will be the procedure (if it exist using DVDShrink). In other words: Gramsie, did you do it? Or you are just answering the question from a theoretical point of view? If you did do it, I think you forgot to be a little more explicit (I mean explaining all the steps with meticulousness, in which case I?ll beg you to do so).
Thanks guy again for your help.
Cheers!!:>)
Hi guys again:
I only wanted to refer you to a page in which I am describing more extensively the problem(s) with DVDShrink and its reauthoring capabilities (that is for some of you guys that would be interested in this topic, and/or know the hows about it):
