how can I make 2 discs movies in one dvd-5 ?

before knowing DVD Shrink can make dvd 9 to one disc under 4.38 gb by compress. I usually use DVD decrypter to make dvd 9 movies to 2 discs, now how can I make those movies back to one disc ?

One way I know of would be copy each dvd into it's own dir (e:\dvd1 e:\dvd2) then use TMPGEnc DVD Author to add each one into your menu. (both into one track) Then output it into another dir (e:\dvd9) Then use dvdshrink to shrink it to a smaller size. Then burn.

im just trying to figure out how to fit one disk onto one disk instead of making two discs. im burning Shreck for my daughter so she can have a copy at my mothers house as well. but it wont let me put it all on one disk, splitting it doesnt seem to do anything, omitting things and not knowing what they are nor how to view them makes no sense either. all i would like to do is fit this movie on one dvd, just like it comes. on one dvd. PLEASE HELP ME! I JUST NEED A EXPLANATION PLEASE!

Rip all files with DVD Decrypter. Then use the latest version of DVD2One and select full disk. It will compress it (menus and all) to fit on a dvd-r. Then use Nero burning rom or record now max to burn.
I just did shriek for a friend 2 weeks ago, and that's how I did it since he wanted menus and extras.

is there any way to burn all to one disc by using dvd x copy? im new to this so that what i ask, all this software stuff is foriegn to me. (dvd encrypter, dvd2one)i'll look into it, but maybe someone knows how to do it with just dvd x copy or a simpler way than 3 programs. thank you all.

Dvdxcopy will split it if it's too large but dvdxcopy xpress will. But dvdxcopy will leave copyprotection on dvd and you can't copy the copy, plus it will ad a warning screen. Just click on DVD Decrypter and DVD2One on previous post and it will take you to where you can get download it.
Dvd Decrypter will copy all your dvd files to your hard drive and remove the copyprotection. DVD2One will compress it so it fits on a dvd-r. (from say 6.2 gigabytes to 4.3 gigabytes)

will DVD Decryptor be good for DVD+R. i downloaded the other DVD2One. but before downloading this other DECRYPTER prog, wanted to know if it works with DVD+R?

It doesn't matter if you have dvd-r, -rw, +r, +rw. DVD Decrypter just copies and removes copy protection from the files. So Yes you can use it if you use dvd+r. You can use it even if you don't have a dvd burner just a dvd rom. But of course you need a burner to burn the files to a dvd+r or dvd-r. You can also download Nero for burning if you don't have it.

i try TMPGEnc DVD Author to put 2 discs back in one dvd, and it won't let me load the second dvd file (it show that only mpeg1, 2 can be load in.but i am loading dvd file, not video file,why it pop out this message?.
by the way, both dvds file i already rip it to my computer by using dvd DECRYPTER

Did you rip all files into 2 seperate folders, one for each dvd? And also did you click on "Add DVD Video" not "Add File"
First you Select Create new project.
Then select "Add DVD video"
Then select the folder where you ripped your first dvd. Then click "ok"
Then select your title and audio.
Then click "next"
It will then show options for reading chapter info and copy clip to hd as mpg. I usually uncheck the copy option. The reading chapter option is if you want it to put the chapers in that was in your original dvd.
Click "ok"
The next screen shows "chapter edit cut" if you want to cut out part of your film or add your own chapters.
When done click "ok"
Now you have your fist dvd set up.
Now Click on "Add dvd video" again. and select the folder where you ripped your 2nd dvd. Do the same thing as your first one
Then click on create menu. You have an option to have your menu show up first or play the movie first. (Display main menu, play all tracks)
When done select "output"
Select a folder to output your new VIDEO_TS folder to. and click "begin output"
After it gets done use DVD2One or dvdshrink 2.3 to compress it to 4.3gb
Then burn with Nero,record now max or any other burning software.

thanks ,i di rip the files , but the problem is that TMPGEnc DVD Author won't let me load second dvd-video, it pop out a message said that file format don't match the first one i load in. but those 2 discs are split from one dvd source
they should be the same format. and it happen on every 2 discs move i backed up by using DVD Decrypter . My guess is that second disc missing something when rip with DVD Decrypter
,but they all play fine on all players .

Ok, then just click on "Add new track..." in the left window and add the video there. For a new track, it doesn't have to match unlike when you add to the same track.

I was able to put 2 dvd movies on 1 dvd dic using DVD Shrink but I am not sure how to a menu that would allow you to pick either movies or is that not possible using shrink. I also was also able to do it with tmpngec dvd author but the sound was out of sink and the movie was jerky any suggestion would be greatly appreciated thanks

no offence scottvf but where as it does put a warning on the DVD, it doesent leave the copy protection or put any on for that matter...
a little late in the game i admit But i just thought i would point that out to you.......
Ps, you can copy any DVD express backup with any program except DVD Express (sumat they do to there program .exe that is suppose to stop piracy)
