I was able to back this up using AnyDVD 6.0.4.5 Nero 7 & Recode2. I got it about 2 week ago w/Phat Girlz (Check my post). My back-up plays fine.:P

Thanks for the info!

What's on the DVD, in terms of special features? I'm a sucker for special features, especially on horror flicks.

Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

I used DVDShrink and AnyDVD as well and got a perfect backup. I didn't think to try it with Clone.

i dont know about you, but when i got this to my hdd with AnyDVD.
i got 7.79GB, so i try to shrink it and then burn. but for some strange reason i cannot get his DVDR to play on a dvd player machine.

i never have this sort of problem in the past. my dvd show "no disc"
i though to myself, (HEY! I DIDN'T MAKE ANY ERROR AND Nero DIDNT DTECT THAT EITHER!)

do you think that there could be some sort of proection that is left?

@InfernaI

Well, I don't have AnyDVD, but I know for a fact that you need to use AnyDVD's ripper to get the job done. Besides that, if you want to use some free tools, then do as follow.

<< method 1 >>
- DVDFAB Decrypter 2.9.8.3 to rip to hard drive
- VobBlanker to process the VIDEO_TS.IFO file from DVDFAB (only take 5 minutes)
- DVD Shrink to transcode the VIDEO_TS file from VobBlanker and create an ISO image
- DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn to burn your final ISO

<< method 2 >>
- RipIt4Me (DVD Decrypter to rip to hard drive)
- FixVTS to process the movie
- DVD Shrink to transcode the movie and create an ISO image
- DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn to burn your final ISO

That's it. Easy as sippin' on a Corona. Good luck and happy burning.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.
