somehow my active x got blocked by something and now i cant have download anything or have anything play videos at sites plz help

Check you firewall and malware prevention settings. Also, check the browser that your using.

On IE go into Tools > Internet Options. Check the Advanced tab. Scroll down and look for the multimedia settings.

I don't know about Zone Alarm. I don't use it. It would seem that it would most likely be the cause of things being blocked. Check all the settings and rules.

if i delete Zone Alarm and it doesnt work what am i to do then delete all my programs?

Don't delete Zone Alarm just yet. First turn it off and check if the problem is solved. That's what I do sometimes. If it does, you just have to go to Program Control and check Internet Explorer settings.
