New Sony movie out this week. Sorry - I am a Jean Claude fan !!!

Anyway, I have tried to back it up several different ways. Shrink, Fab and Shrink, Fab VOB and Shrink and none of them have worked for me. I have RV also, from Sony and out this week and got it to work no problem. I am sure not many of you have even heard of this one, but any help would be appreciated.

And yes, I am sure it works with AnyDVD and many other programs you pay for. But I am looking for help from those who don't pay.

Here is the error message I get with Shrink (AFTER running it through Fab and VOB):

it looks like u r missing a file, go back to the folder u ripped and see if that file is there
Also u didn't get any warnings when using vobblanker?

Think I'll just stick with AnyDVD. I see more trouble with users trying to use DVDFab and VOBlanker having many times the problems that AnyDVD users have. It may be free but it seems to be a headache often.

That is my entire log from Nero.

When using VobB I did NOT get any warnings.

DVD Fab ver 2.9.8.3 only newer one is a beta.

Using Maxell DVD's have done hundreds of movies on them in the past and as I said I did RV, another SONY movie, using same method and same DVD's and it was fine.

This is the FIRST time I have had any problems.

Nothing special at all with this movie. They didn't bother to waste the 10 cents in using sony arc. protection. Every copy combo will work for this movie. If you get really frustrated, go to slysoft and try out any dvd and clone dvd although it's not needed for this movie.

Hey guys - I finally got it to work. Not sure how or why ?? I went in and cleaned my extra drive of EVERYTHING and all the temp stuff on my regular drive and started over. For what ever reason that worked. I used Fab and shrink and it worked fine.

Sorry - not sure what I could have done first time around, but thanks for all your help !!

@300bowler

I realize that most people are not having problems with the DeFab way, but the learning curve must be a lot higher with DeFab and VOB than AnyDVD. I 'm not saying it's a bad program. Most questions about Fab are from NOOBs. Had AnyDVD for a long time and you just don't have to think about it when you use it. JM2Cs

Yeah, ur right, for the people who are just starting to learn how to use these programs it could be difficult, and it doesn't compare to AnyDVD on how simple it is to use

but i think for DVDFab it cant get any simpler then just making an ouput folder and hitting the start button.

i also realize that most people aren't computer savvy too.
