I downloaded some video files, and the files that came with the video are .SSA (for the video, I think) and .OGM files. I can open the .SSA files in VLC media player, and select from multiple audio tracks that are included in the .OGM files I think. My question is, how can I get these videos on a DVD-R with only the english audio track? I can't seem to find any type of video converter that works with .SSA and .OGM files.
It seems that, for every .SSA file, there is also a matching .OGM file with an identical name.
I found out the the .SSA files are just subtitles, and I didn't want them so I deleted them.
I found a program called DVDsanta that can concert the .OGM files to DVD, but the OGM files have two audio tracks and by default it selects the Japanese ones. There is no option to encode them with the 2nd audio track (english). Can anybody help?
What happens if you open the Santa files in DVDShrink? Do both the audio tracks show up so you can de-select the one you don't want?
You could also try VirtualDubMod. Rename the original file to AVI. Set to 'Direct stream copy'. Under Streams-> Streams list, disable the one you don't want and save the AVI.
Thanks Mystice, your VirtualDubMod suggestion worked. I was able to cut out the audio stream I didn't want & convert the entire thing to an AVI, then I was able to burn the AVIs with ConvertXToDVD.
So much faster than demuxing the audio & encoding them all with TMPGEnc, like this guide I found wanted me too. It probably would have worked, but I had 60 OGMs to convert, and it would have taken about an hour for each. =/
