I was told to put this information up and I'd get some help unlocking my mobile?

Is this correct?
If you know the risks, try this ONCE and ONLY ONCE and let us know if it works. You have only 3 to 5 tries and then it will be hard locked. After that you will need a cable thing-a-me-jiggy to unlock it. It will still work on your Network so no big loss.

Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p) \
Press * 4 times fast for (w) IMPORTANT
Press * 2 times fast for (+) /
and the rest of the code---
IMPORTANT!!
Verify code before pressing the last #.
Pay attention. You only heve about two seconds.
Note:If nothing happens. Some Phones require that you to insert a non accepted sim.Insert a non accepted SIM and turn it on. You will see "phone restricted", press UNDO option and enter the code in the restriction box and press ENTER.
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked.
"Error code" wrong code.STOP tell me.
"Not allowed" or "Can Not Undo Restriction" it's hard locked. Used up all your free tries!!

The instructions say ONCE and only once.
If you get a message, that's NOT nothing happens.
Try this once without the SIM and tell me what message you get.

It said Insert Sim Card
i stuck the sim in but then it said Sim card registration failed!

Joe thanks for your help mate but they want me to hang on the phone for another 40 minutes so I'm gonna try again later.
I'll post back on here as soon as i get anywhere and let you know how I got on.
