Does the ps2 slimline vertical stand help for better ventilation and airflow compared to lying it flat on the ground.I want to buy a new slimline because my old fat ps2 sucks shit.but first i want to know if the slimlines overheats and if the stand would help prevent it heating up as fast.because i dont want to buy 1 that will just last 2 hours then blow up.

Is it worth it? Please Help.

I don't think it'd improve airflow but, it would probably help it stay cooler because of the bigger surface area where heat can be dissipated from (compared to oneside touching the ground or table etc.) Personally, I like the older ps2s better and if the only thing that "sucks shit" about your old ps2 is the laser (just a guess) then you can replace it and save yourself some $$$

The old ps2 always breaks. every1 i know has got 1 and broken it! i have the slimeline, but it is harder to mod, or install a mod chip. the old ones were very easy 2 mod.

Yeah but ive already had it sent away to get fixed and they replaced the laser and it only lasted for a year and that cost me $160 and a new PS2 slimline is only $230.So i think i might get the slimline instead of paying another $160,but thanks for the info about the stand,i'll buy a stand if it will help it stay cooler.
