If you are burning with single layer dvd's, you may not be able to fit that much onto one disk. Even if you managed to fit it, you'd have to shrink it so much the quality would be poor. If you have a double layer burner, I suppose it could technically be done, but you're going to lose a lot of quality.
Rip both sides...remember where you save them. Open DVD Shrink, Reauthor mode, DVD Browser...browse to side one and double click the main movie, repeat for side two. Remove all audio except AC3 5.1 and any or all subtitles you don't need and backup. You may need to use Deep Analysis and AEC controls if high levels of compression are used.
