PStwo Slim V12 anygood?

Someone offered me a slim V12 with memory card,hookups,controller and of course system for $55 shipped. Curious do there have laser issues or anything? I was thinking about using it with Swap Magic since I got a 3.6 version left over from a PS2 I sold a while ago.

As long as he says it works it should be fine, if you get it modded you will need a laser fix (really cheap) but other than that it shouldn't be a problem.

U need a laser fix for the V12 If u modded your PS2 is need a laser fix more baddly but all V12 need a laser fix or the laser tend to die

I have heard alot of people with burned lasers becuase they dont have a laser fix, even ppl that dont have a modchip. But there are a few ppl that been talking crap because nothing happens to theirs. Maybe S0NY had a fix on a few V12s. Well u never know but haveing a laser fix for V12 is better that nuthing

For 55$ id say look if there are any strings attached unless it is used or something, but i say the slimlines are much better in a few ways than the fat and vice versa. The slimline is much quieter but i dont think it has a hard drive does it ????

Nope PS2 slims dont have a hard drive option, ethernet is built in and on the older V12 slims they also have the phone jack built in. There are mods though like the HD Combo and the XCM Connect or something like that. Those can support a IDE hard drive on the slim PS2, But not the new V14s slim only the V12/13
