I really hope this hasn't been answered (I read the entire thread and couldn't find a solution, so I'm hoping you guys can help)

My 360 firmware has been cracked, and I got the Pioneer DVR-111D burner as people said I should and patched the firmware to 1.23. I have Dual Layer media and I got the .iso files off newsgroups (I tried a few for good measure). I'm pretty sure they're patched files.

I burn them using CloneCD and I get that error that a few people have reported "Please insert this disc into an XBOX 360"...

I have a few backups that someone else made on a Pioneer drive, so I know the drive's okay...but I can't seem to get these isos to work on my system. Anyone have any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? I shouldn't have to merge these files should I?

No error from clonecd...said it burned right.

There are a few possibilities:

1. Did I patch my burner firmware right? (I just ran the .exe in the download of the 1.23 firmware from Dangerous Brothers web site)

2. Are my discs okay? (Do I need to use certain media? I shouldn't right...they're Dual Layer...)

3. Merge? I shouldn't have to do this either...

When I got my firmware hacked, it came with a few backups, so I know backups work on the drive (it's a Samsung drive...)

you said you burned the iso... i hope you meant to say, you downloaded the iso and the .dvd file because it was a patched releaase, then you burned the .dvd file. If you select the iso to burn it will not work, you MUST select the .dvd file

i've had backups work on my drive

prepatched, yup

i'm not using verbatim...is that the issue? it's displaying that 'please insert the disc into an xbox 360'...does that mean the media IS ok or it's not?

1. how do i set the booktype? i remember in dvdinfo there was a checkmark beside dvd-rom...how do i do the booktype thing? (i'm new at the 360 stuff...)

2. the rip came as just an .iso file with the instructions to burn in clonecd

what media are you using maybe somebody on the board has experince with them?

Just an iso doesn't sound like a "scene" release prob a junk file

I believe they are Memorex...

The rips are off of Newsgroups, so I would assume they are scene release (e.g. Madden 07 I got Monday morning after the sunday release)...

If the media were bad, would it show that error message? Or would it not read anything...

Memorex is crap...hope you didn't load up on them

I have bad burns and they kept telling me to insert the game into xbox 360

get verbatium!

my prob was my bruner and cloneCd didn't get along, which i don't beleive that's the case with you, seeing how you have the burner of chioce but I ended up using DVD Decrypter If you want to try that let me know

I hope it's simply a matter of the media not working...

So I shouldn't ahve to do anything to the iso besides burn it using clonecd?
