IS IT BETTER QUALITY TO DOWNLOAD THE MOVIE FROM A WEBSITE LIKE CINEMANOW OR BURN A COPY FROM ACTUAL DVD

It all depends on the site. If they simply rip the original movie from a DVD to download, then it's no different from you doing it yourself. Find out how the site creates the movie file.

As for rips - You could rent dvd's and rip if you want (what i did for a bit) but you can d/l them - however discussing where to get them would be against the rules - google is your friend eh..
