When DVD Decrypter (after using RipIt4Me) is ripping the DVD I get I/O errors at the end (around 99%). I have clicked abort before and the DVD will play but with some small errors, like stopping for no reason. Is there a way to fix this?
i assume you have the latest version of ripit4me installed. if so, not sure why dvddecrypter would be having that problem.
one thing you might try is using the dvdfabdecrypter -> vobblanker -> shrink method and seeing if it might be the source disk that you are using that has a problem. have you played the source disk without problem? what is the disk title? ripit4me should be able to handle it unless it is something that hasn't been released yet that has a new encryption wrinkle that won't be handled until ripit4me gets the log files from people having a problem. you might want to save your dvddecrypter log file and send it to them, but try fab/blanker first.
The DVD is Frasier season 2, and I only have a problem on discs 2 and 3. All the original discs play fine on a dvd player. When tried with DVDFab decrypter it says "Get DVD information fail. 4096". Is it possible to use vonbBlanker after RipIt4Me? Also, how do I get the latest version of RipIt4Me? Thanks a lot for your help.
so why would disks 1 and 4 be copied with no problem and not disks 2 and 3? oh wait, that's the question you are asking! ;-)
my first inclination is to say a source disk problem like a scratch/dirt or mastering error even though they play fine. not sure. hmmm?
if you use the links below you will be able to see if you have the latest versions of ripit4me (which usually when opened will inform you if there is a newer version available) and dvd fab. however, since this isn't a recent release from sony or disney i don't think encryption is the problem.
yes, you could use vobblanker after ripit4me, but the FixVTS part of ripit4me would already have done that job, unless you want to use blanker to edit out some stuff. though it wouldn't hurt anything to run it through there anyway.
another free option would be to download the 21 day trial versions of AnyDVD and clonedvd2 and see if that combo works, but i suspect that since neither dvddecrypter with its imported psl (as part of ripit4me) nor dvdfabdecrypter can rip it, that somehow the problem lies with the disks themselves. have you looked at them to check for scratches/dirt/etc.? maybe clean them anyway.
sorry i can't be of more help. there might be a simple answer... hopefully someone else will chime in and provide it.
