Ho. I recently tired to put a chip in myself, bad idea, and i fried my Ps2 motherboard. it would power button would turn on and turn back off to red. and i bought a broken ps2 off ebay. NOw all i did was replace the whole optical block,
Now my PS2 turns on and the laser moves :), but the disk wont spin :(. Is there anything i can do to make it spin. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea just get a multimeter and check all the fuses on the back of the mobo. the fuses are marked on the board with PS.. Does everything else work except it reading the disk?
