I have been using decrypter for several years and it works great. All of a sudden I an unable to rip a blank DVD-R from a movie I have backed up already. I have no problem ripping a disk, I just can't then rip it to a blank dvd disk. I get the above error message or focus servo error. I had my drive relplaced a year ago. I have defraged and scanned for virus already. Any help? Thanks

focus servo error
The 'Focus Servo Error' message is a hardware error. It can be caused by the following.

1) Poor Media - Try more than one brand of CDR media to rule this out as the cause.
2) Poor Power - The power to your recorder could be fluctuating. If you have an Internal Recorder, try a different power connector to the Recorder, and make sure it's not being shared by any other devices. If you have an External Recorder, remove it from the external chassis, if you can, and connect as an internal recorder on your system. If this resolves your issue, then you need to replace or repair the power source in your external chassis.
3) Optical head is dirty, needs alignment, or recorders circuit board has an open coil - please contact your Recorder Manufacturer to service your unit

Check and make sure the firmware for this burner is up to date and make sure you are using quality media, not bargain.

Also make sure your DMA is enabled for the burner, go here for a guide.
