I'm stuck.. H2 Map pack Help!!

Hi all, I'm new here. My GT is: General Jaster.
For the past 5 days, I've been working on getting my Xbox soft modded, I got luckly got passed that part. But now my one friend came over & downloaded the killtrocity map pack & left me with no clue what to do next. I've checked out all of these tutorials on how to add the maps into your H2 game, but I'm to newbish to figure what to do next. Can anyone PM me their AIM/E-mails or just striaght out tell me what to do next? I appreciate any help, thanks for your time people.

that is an amazing map pack. 49 maps, all professionally modded. But, you just use the registry entry, then you autopatch the maps, and auto resign them. then you manually patch the remaining maps and encryp those, then make sure there's enough room on your xbox, and FTP it into a killtrocity folder under games. make sure you have shared.map, and tha you have disabled the autoupdate.

I somehow got all of the 42 maps on my HD under, E:/games/killtrocity/maps - but I tried starting up the game without the other 7 maps by going to E:/games/killtrocity/default.xbe - & it brings me to this black screen saying something about my disc is dirty etc.. I was wondering if you would be able to play just the 42 maps? Because I have no clue what to do with the other 7 maps, I'm to newbish.. I tried my hardest & followed those instructions on the map pack (which aren't newbie friendly) & nothing worked. FuZ or Teak, can anyone of you guys help me out? Thanks for your time guys!

about the fonts folder, if there are a lot of failed transfers, create fonts folder in your maps folder on your xbox and FTP it by groups and see if that will work

I've tried that as well, I made a completely new folder in the maps folder & tried FTPing them over in 2/3's they come up as file transfered failed. Could there not be enough memory or something? I cleaned out all the skins I had for my dashboard & everything. I'm guessing this is the last step in order to play the killtrocity pack, huh? haha..
One more thing, after applying all the maps onto my harddrive, I noticed that when I went back into the H2 game, I noticed a different picture of lockout in systemlink/split screen. But it failed to load the map. And all else that's left in the maps on my H2 game are pretty much the old ones. So did I maybe MISS a step? Thanks for the help Teak!

i dont know what to say about the FTP, so you might have to problem solve there, but with the maps, you don't have the mainmenu patched with the patch it gave you to have the mainmenu turn orange, and give you new map options

Does this mean I messed up my Xbox/H2? I can't ever play H2 regular? I mean, I'm almost there, but these damn "fonts" file is giving me a problem.. can anyone else shed some light on this problem??

you can play regular h2, you just run it off the disc. but i don't know why the FTP isn't working

I just tried running H2 straight off the disc & it still brings me to the messed up maps.. like Lockout has a different picture & keeps saying it can not load. And I'm just stuck with all of the older maps. I don't have gemini, foundation, etc..

Teak, alrighty... here's the deal, after 2 hours of messing around with some files in my xbox E:/ & D:/ drives, I finally transfered the 'Fonts' folder over to the killtrocity map pack! Your trick about the font folder was right, it MUST be there in order to play the modded maps. However, I did have to a bit of brain solving for 2 hours, but finally got it.
NOW.... one more thing I need to solve, but I never knew how to SPPF anything, that's why the 7 other maps I couldn't get on which failed to load. Is there anyway you can help me out with SPPF or whatever to those remaining 7 maps? Thanks for your help man, I appreciate it dude.

for your older problem, you probably couldn't play certain maps because you didn't have any updates, but thats over.
So with supper ppf, you first make a copy of the maps that are going to be patched only if you might need the original versions of those maps later, but if you don't do this
open super ppf( yes i know it looks weird) at the bottom it will say super ppf-o-matic and it will say map file and patch file. next to map file there will be a floppy disk icon, click on it. Now when that's open, find the map that's gonna get patched and click open. do the same thing for patch file except find the patch for the map and open it. Do that to all of the maps. (There might be more than one patch for 1 map so make a copy of the map and patch that also) Once you're done patching all the maps, rename the maps like this
get ascension.map rename into > Halo_Derby.map
get coagulation.map rename into > Selan_Forest.map
get lockout.map rename into > Cassiopeia.map
get lockout.map rename into > Infection.map
get zanzibar.map rename into > Infiltration.map
get zanzibar.map rename into > Lakeside.map
get gemini.map rename into > Satans_Crypt.map
now open encryptomatic signature and you should come to a screen that says fantstic. In the upper left corner it sould say encryptomatic signature, click that, now open your maps and encrypt all of your patched, renamed maps, you will know when it is encrypted because it will say FANTASTIC! Now just transfer your patched, renamed, and encrypted maps to your xbox and your done. :D

Im stuck in this situation as well right now. I have made the Killtrocity folder in my softmodded xbox, with the modded maps and fonts folder in there..I also have the menu that has the different picture lockout and no new maps (gemini, turf, etc...) Im guessing this means ive already disabled the autoupdate..
and I also need help on how to get the main menu orange because you mentioned something about patching it..
please help..THX

it's the one that patches 42 of the 49 maps and the mainmenu, without using it, you would have to manually use serenity to patch all of those maps.
If it doesn't work, make sure you entered the regkey that says execute before autopatching

hey teak umm ok i have the killtrocity map pack downloaded but the problem i'm having is my xbox isn't letting me FTP so i was wondering if its possible to put it on a DVD-R and put it on my hard drive that way? if so please tell me exzactlt what i have to do.. my xbox is softmodded with unleashed x. and i have ISO (which i don't know if or what its used for) and the map pack downloded thats how far i am could you help me?
