Hi got an old 6680 i need to unlock
I know the newer phones are not un-lockable...... but?

network: 3 - uk
build date: 04.03.05
version: 2.04.15
imei: 357062005706121

6680 is a BB5 Nokia which means you will need to try and get your code from the original service provider, but will cost. There is no other way (at this time) to unlock it.

contrasting info here....

Important info about 6630, 6680 & 6682.
As of March 21 2006 these 3 fones are not, unlockable with code, unless you manage to get a code from the original network provider of these fones. Any programs or people who claim to be able to unlock them, are more than likely a hoax or even worse a con, do not pay for any unlock proceedure or you will get stung. You have been warned.
There is no point in posting any request for a code for these fones on the forum, requests for them have been requested so many times, I personally have got tired of repeating the same answer over and over again.Replies to these requests are being ignored by me from now on.


does this mean that ALL nokia 6680's are unlockable OR those produced after 'March 21 2006' are unlockable & the older phones are fine??

please could you clarify?

All the phones above can not be unlocked by anyone but the original service provider.

We are hoping that it can be done sometime early next year.
