I have a i/o magic dvd-r/+r/rw/dl burner and a panisonic dvd player. I use to burn a good amount of dvd's on my burner using clone dvd and DVD Shrink and Nero. But lately when i burn dvd's i don't get the audio on them and i'm wondering if it is the burner that i need to replace it's not even a year old. I burned before using default settings for all my program and they work fine. The dvd play do play burned dvd's and kvcds. I check my hardware device manager and it says the dvd drive is working properly, but no matter what programs i use i can't manage to get the audio to burn on my dvd blanks and when burning music cd's on my dvd burner the audio works just fine. The dvd blanks i'm using are sony also. Can anyone help me please? I also use dvd decryter and dvd fab to rip and burn also. But when i use dvd fab gold/platnum it says hardware problem. Please help my fix this audio problem please.

To be clear, these files can be loaded into DVD Shrink and the sound is o.k?
You burn them with Decrypter or Nero and the audio is gone?

So what are you suggesting me to use to burn the files with? Because the latest DVD Shrink don't burn or are you requesting me to use quick DVD Shrink the version that do burn.

You are trying to find out at what stage the audio goes away.
You rip the DVD with Decrypter to the hard drive.
Bring the files into Shrink and check that the audio is OK by playing it in Shrink.
You select the audio track you want to keep and how you want to compress the video, as you have done in the past.
When you use DVD Shrink it saves the output files to the hard drive.
You also have the option in Shrink of burning with Nero or DVD Decrypter after it completes it's analysis and compression.
(DVD Shrink doesn't burn on it's own).
When you use the combination of Shrink and burning with Decrypter, you will also have an .iso image copied to the hard drive.
You can bring this image file (it's an exact copy of what was burned to your DVD) back into Shrink and play it.You should have audio.
If neither Nero nor Decrypter gives you a successful burn (ie the audio should be present),you may be looking at a hardware problem.
Note, if you are using Decrypter, set the max burning speed to 4x.It will remember this each time you burn.

And this stone age speed will help his audio problem?

Is this sour faced quip intended to assist or are you hinting that indeed you have the solution, but are simply waiting for the right time to reveal it to an astonished world?
Surprised that one so talented in one sphere lacks the virtue of common courtesy, but rest assured you won't have to gaze on my miserable efforts in the future. You my friend, are the last straw.

@MysticE - attar has a valid reason for suggesting 4x. i've seen some of your snotty replies and they could do with some work on the personality front.

I guess you guys are right. I apologize. But I do think the poster's problems (no audio) have nothing to do with burning speeds. Garbled or choppy audio maybe, but for no audio the problem lies elsewhere.
