Ok newbie question on hdd, I have swap magic with fliptop and my question is, that I want to install a hdd on my fat ps2, want to what is the difference between sata and ide? Also would I have to format it or just plaug it and play using hdloader? Do I need a mod chip or is swapmagic fine? What would be the best to fit the fat ps2? I know about it beening maxtor or hitachi, but I got confuse with read a couple of threads saying nothing about about a mod chip and wanted someone to clarify that. What the easiest way to do this? No stickies on this. Last list of games that will and won't work on hdloader? Thanks for the help.

ide hard drive
you can use swap magic to boot a burnt copy of hdloader and it will format the hard drive for you.
most hard drives work, but avoid western digital (doesn't fit the network adapter).

no modchip is needed, you don't even need swap magic if you buy the disc. Its most likely going to be a cd.
