i am thinking to get Nero 7 ultra on ebay as it might be cheaper. does anyone know if it is great and does it convert so that i can put my downloaded movies on dvd?

Be careful when purchasing software on eBay. It may be cheaper, but it may also be pirated software, which is illegal. You could get ripped off. I do order things from eBay every now and then, but I personally stand clear of software and blank media being sold on eBay.
