I've switched from Nero and DVD Shrink to imgburn and dvdshrink. Nero used to start the autoburn without any intervention after dvdshrink was finished. I've tried everything and searched everywhere, but can find no info on how to set imgburn to auto start. Is that even possible? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, imgburn can be auto-started when using dvdshrink.
Once imgburn has been installed, a imgburn folder will be created and in it the executable file will also be created (imgburn.exe).
Look for your imgburn folder and rename it to DVD Decrypter, in that folder you should see a imgburn.exe file, rename that file to dvddecrypter.exe
DVD Shrink looks for the .exe file in the DVD Decrypter folder to perform this action (autoburning), so when shrink is ready to have the file burned to disk, Imgburn will be opened for the burning phase the same as if it were trying to use DVD Decrypter.
NOTE: When choosing your backup options in shrink, choose to create an ISO image file and autoburn with DVD Decrypter.

johnl123 & 300bowler---
Where were you a week ago LOL?!? I kept trying to do that, and when I did, Shrink would lose its link to DVDDecrypter and I only had the option to burn with Nero.
Car.Mike did one better I'm afraid, I already used his link and am burning a copy of the original "The Muppet Movie" for my daughter as I speak. So much easier. The Shrink option actually says burn with ImgBurn instead of just being fooled into doing it. And we thought there werent anymore updates for Shrink...

That version was created a while back w/o you having to change the .exe files. I have both versions on my computer and just renamed the New Shrink "Shrink2".

I just deleted my old link and sent the new link shortcut to desktop.
Related question for anyone who knows, how does shrink do setting up the layer break on DL disks? I know that if its a straight 1-1 copy defeats the purpose of Shrink (hence the name)
I thought DVDdecrypter set that up through the .mds file and I see Shrink only outputs just the .iso folder.
Just asking if anyone has tried.

Deadrum33 ,
Do not use Shrink for D/L. Once the DVD is ripped to HD then use either Imgburn, PgdEdit, or CloneCD to do the D/L. In PgcEdit and in Imgburn you can use the original or pick another layer break if you want

In response to your issue stated above:
Quote: Where were you a week ago LOL?!? I kept trying to do that, and when I did, Shrink would lose its link to DVDDecrypter and I only had the option to burn with Nero.
This is usually caused by an incorrect path setup, file association, or file detection by shrink because of the apps installation order.
To correct this just uninstall all three apps and reinstall them in this order:
1. DVD Decrypter
2. imgburn- once installed copy past the imgburn.exe file in the DVD Decrypter folder and follow the renaming procedure as described/shown above
3. DVDshrink- use as described/shown above
This should of taken care of the problem, but i'm glad to see that what you're currently using is working for you.
To burn to D/L media, stick to DVD Decrypter (burn ISO files manually), Imgburn (for ISO files), or clonedvd2 by slysoft and don't burn too fast to avoid problems (2.4x to start).

Thanks johnl123
I have it all squared away with Car.mikes link.
Also, I never used Shrink to burn a DL disc, just wondering if I could keep my programs used to a minimum. I cant sacrifice quality so I'll keep Decrypter handy.

Yeah use ImgBurn for the DL builds and burns, handles the layer break well!

As Garmoon said, I use AnyDVD in background and Imgburn, the DL come out great. One problem though. I got the version of shrink that auto burns with Imgburn. It didn't create a shortcut, no biggy, I just created one, but the new program is not listed in my program files nor is it in my add/remove. I already uninstalled the first version. As it stands now I'll have to do a clean install if I ever have a problem with it. When I installed it, it gave no option of what path I wanted. The program just appeared. Anyone else have this happen? Should I have kept the original shrink installed? Otherwise, everything works perfectly.
I was so ugly when I was a kid, my parents used to take me everywhere just so they wouldn't have to kiss me goodbye.

Bigwop, what I did with the imgburn dvdshrink was just replaced the .exe file in the dvdshrink folder. Everything works the same as before with the exception that shrink now works automatically with imgburn.

Bigwop---Same thing happened to me, I had the same questions about a week ago.
I just put the original back on my computer just in case, and only use the link to the ImgBurn version. No problems yet.

You can use ImgBurn (on DL discs) to build your ISO and not use shrink at all, although you will still have to start ImgBurn in the write mode for the burn manually. No biggie. As 300 Bowler posted above, here is the link to change Shrink to autoburn with ImgBurn:
