I have DVD Shrink but don't use it much-it is nice to downsize a huge movie file; but as I burn straight to dvd; It really dosen't matter if the file is large-I have tried alot of software with mixed results and levels of pure frustration and anger-now my BP is back to normal thanks to a couple programs THAT WORK!--They are 1CLICK DVD COPY5 --COPY TO DVD---and the most important one--CONVERT X TO DVD-the 1CLICK not only burns but removes protection-download the free program called DVD14-it runs in the background to remove area restrictions so the dvd will play on on any dvd player in the world-ConvertX to DVD is great as it not only converts the file to dvd; but burns it for ya!-One stop burning!-So-lets recap-Shrink if needed-Convert-definatley needed-then burn-If you use these you will save alot of hastle looking to get these flicks on your player-also-If you want extra non-protection on your tv-use DVD RED PRO --Grex-electronic in and out-inline between the player or dvr and the tv-lights glow as protection is removed!---$85.00--so- now you won't look stupid putting a dvd in with your friends and getting nothing--lol-good luck-(remember-you get nothing for nothing)

For some reason I'm having a hard time trying to comprehend you here. Just a note, next time please use the comma, period, write in sentences and paragraph.

I think the last partial sentence was instructive...."You get nothing for nothing"....Very deep.

Interesting post but I would be very careful about buying 1Click.
It may work for you at the moment, but you do know that you only get 3 months tech support and only 12 months updates. You then have to buy a licence to continue getting the updates.
I know, because I have just been burned by them.

Interesting post? As I am not a wealthy person;fortunately I was born with good sense as well as looks. When it comes time to buy something; I make it sure it works first and will last awhile-The programs I speak of are proven winners-Their software is top notch stuff. I don't say this to promote it but to inform other people before they waste time and money chasing all the bogus claims made by many other copy software companies-Too many claim to be able to "copy anything" or "will play anywhere". Thats BS plain and simple-Some won't burn while others refuse to work in dvd players etc.. You need only look at the forums to see the many problems people are having with these various copy programs-If 1 Click has an additional charge a year from now' I'm sure it won't be much as the program itself was reasonable. I have no problem with that as the amount of stress free burning that I do more then makes up for it-Like I said ealier' you get what you pay for (sometimes)-

hmmmm? my sense from reading these threads is that many many people are quite pleased and content, if not overjoyed, with the performance of the FREEware (see below) available for backing up dvds. and there is also a large group that is very pleased with the performance of AnyDVD, which does cost some money, but is updated immediately when required, and the license has no time limit. i believe that anyone willing to take a bit of time to learn how to use these backup tools would likely be as pleased as anyone buying retail/more expensive backup software. i could be wrong.

I suppose it comes down to personal preference-I have used all the products you listed and many more-It is not only time consuming but frustrating to use software that is unreliable and/or just hard to use-Some people don't mind spending alot of time trying to back up their stuff-thats fine-Me; I want the damn thing to be on plastic and staring back at me on the tube-I have been reading some of the different ways people are going about getting this done and it does not have to be so hard to do-If the right programs are used it is very simple and if you cruise through the posts here and at other such sites; you will find alot of people with lots of questions on why the burn was not successful--certain programs are much better then others-I spent less than 100.00 for all of mine and I will be watching some early release videos tonight-! it was worth every penney-

WOW, Robspace1 you may need to slow down a bit a think about what you posted. your software is only as good as the next new release with a new encryption.
i use CloneDVD 2 with AnyDVD 99.9% of the time at 49 dollars and NEVER had a dvd (in 3 years) that i couldn't backup.(LIFETIME updates for free!!) and the DVDs i backup play on 99.9% of the DVD players Ive thrown them at (using Taiyo Yuden media)
also you might read alkohols guides(in his sig) he uses freeware and backs up ANY movie on the planet with FREEWARE!!! alkohol knows more about backing up DVDs that all of us put together. you could probably learn alot from the man.
theres also a program called "RipIT4Me" that uses ALL freeware, works wonders.
so theres many ways to backup DVDs so you might cruise the forums a read a bit

Yes Robspace 1, I think that you are too impatient. When I bought 1Click about 16 months ago, I was foolishly under the impression that I would get unlimited updates, but I was shot down in flames by their last e-mail and didn't even bother to reply to them.
It seems to me that you do have more money than sense. You say you have spent 100.00 $ or £ - Why? There are all these good people trying to guide and help you.
I use DVDFab and DVDShrink and my computer is quite old and slow, only a Pentium 3 but it works for me.
There may come a time when I might have to get AnyDVD, but at the moment, if it ain't broke, why try and fix it!

Would a bunch of bs-If you guys are using freeware that works-100% of the time I would love to see it!-I repeat that I have been burning for quite awhile and I have used every one of these programs your talking about-So-lets get real guys and quit the bs-Which programs are 100% free ' work all the time and do not require other programs to do a complete and error free' area restriction and copyright elimination?-Which one can convert any file to dvd then burn it?-Does it also remove all the copy protection as well as area protection?-If you can tell me one free software program that can do all of that'and put out a first class' error free dvd movie like Goodnight And Good luck' Batman Begins etc.-then I will admit to being ill informed-You will not find any one free program that will do all of this-not ANYSTINKINGDVD!-OR SHRINK-If it was possible I would have done it-quit your lying guys!

One more requirement in this challenge-Your "free" software has to not only convert the file'and remove protection and burn it-It must also be able to playback on any newer DVD or DVR player-the type with the copy gard in place-please let me and everbody else know where to find this fantastic free software!

Basilj-So you think I got ripped off?-lol-Unless your running a bootleg copy of DVD FAB you paid 59.00 for that-(so much for "free"-does it convert'decrypt and burn ?-No it does not and DVD Shrink will not remove Arccos- you need DVD Decrypter for that-Now' your looking at 3 programs to get a file downloaded and put on disk that will play on your tv-right or wrong-?-

Say there aabcde or whatever-You made my point exactly!-thank you-You and I PAID about the same for copy software that works-There are free programs that will work from time to time if you use others along with them-So for a lousy 50.00 you are able to do smooth burning-was it worth it?-If you feel cheated you can always go back to the "free" stuff-Ya know' I don't know how old you guys are but it would really be to your benefit to know that the word FREE is more of a sales pitch then anything else-It's just a way to get you interested in a product-I hate to bust your bubble but there is a catch to free-sorry-the most you can ever expect in this world is to at least break even or get what you paid for-theres a reason something is "free"-

O.K. Maybe I got it wrong. If some people want to pay for a 1click program, fine. But the majority of people who read this forum are seeking guidance by using ALL the free programs that are available.
Just look at the posts for "Inside Man" - and by the way DVDFab decrypter is a free tool! There are other versions of this program available and they will cost you.
I personally feel that I got ripped off by LGSoftware Innovations, but having said that, as I mentioned earlier, I may have to get AnyDVD, But not yet!
Edit:- True, 1Click is/was useful, but as I said "Too impatient"
A lot of us like fiddling around with various programs.

Call me lazy but I don't want to go through any more moves then I have to in order to get the flick up and running on my big screen-1Click is simple and there are times when the quality of the end product could be better; but thats ok-I use Copy To DVD-VSO Software- and they have some free software you might want to check out-They have a new free program called Image Resizer-it converts and shrinks images to save space on the HD-For now it's free-

Well alkohol will take your challenge in an instant. And AnyDVD will do any movie anytime. If you used it, why would you have paid for anything else. It makes everything else work again. And I agree with basilj, you do have more money than sense. You need to use the edit button also, since you're just quadruple posting to yourself.

Garmoon-You may have not understood the challenge-I said show me 1 free program that will-convert-decrypt and burn a file to dvd--!-AnyDVD is a good program but it's a decrypter not a burner-for that you will need burning software-o- and by the way' AnyDVD is not free-that will $39.00 please-Looking at your friends post I see alot of plugs for software in there-hmmm!-let me know when it all gets to be free in one package-

I was not taking your challenge, after the initial fee for AnyDVD any movie can be done, I use Shrink and Nero(came with burner) both free. I also use ImgBurn or Decrypter also free. When I use AnyDVD and Recode it's a one click set up start to finish with two drives.Alkohol has not paid for any programs and he's backing up anything he desires. You don't have a program that will do it all. Looks like you're using several yourself. And AnyDVD updates weekly for life.

You are right Robspace 1, 1Click is simple to use when it works. The trouble is that the last two updates I had, 4.2.9.13 being the last, would fail on the burning. I overcame this by closing 1Click and opening CopytoDVDSE3 and dragging the file to there. Two processes!
A couple of points:- I've been out this morning and got myself a copy of "Inside Man" and made a first time successful back-up using DVDFab (free) VobBlanker (free) {thanks Alkohol, first time I've used it} and DVDShrink (free). A nod to all the other posts regarding this movie, Thanks.
I think it's fair to say that there is room for both products and, I've just noticed that you said the end quality is not that good with 1Click. So, it may take longer my way, and the end product is always very good quality.
The second point is that if you go to LG software innovations and follow the links, they have their own dedicated forum. Perhaps you'll get more joy there.

@Rob
Sorry dude; but I mind this to be the world's most retarded thread! If this '1click' was so great; then everybody on here would be using it! But guess what!; THERE NOT!
So; why don't you just be satisfied w/ your programs and stop getting people to use that sh*t!
Also; when you say 'all software i tried failed...'---->yeah; FOR YOU!
Any and everyone else on here will tell you that DVD Shrink; AnyDVD; CloneDVD;etc... are the #1.
Personally; I've been using it for about a year now; and have not come across 1 dvd I can't copy....
P.S. Don't YOU DARE try to tell me that you get 'nothing for nothin' because I have used freeware programs for 2 years now and still am!
Beside the fact whether they're freeware or not; this is my arsenal:
DVD Rebuilder & CCE SP
DVD Shrink
VOB Blanker
DVD Decrypter
DVD FAB Decrypter
AnyDVD
CloneDVD
....I've used these for @ least 2 years now (like i said b4) and haven't had ANY probs w/ cp whatsoever when you use these in whatever combination....
If i were you I'd take basilj's advice and move to a different forum....
It's n00bs like you that are the reason AfterDawn isn't as great as it once was(still is though; its just that some cool guys don't hang around here as much anymore)
Rob; I'll tell you right now; with those posts ive read i can say I DONT LIKE YOU! I hope you get banned!
Quote: Robspace1, your point is... what?? You like 1click?? I love AnyDVD and CloneDVD.

Peace!!!
Rock on man; I'm w/you!
Lastly Rob; I think you're just another one of those dumb n00bs trying to get attention!
Sincerely with a flame war;

Any movie out there can be copied with free programs. Free, and they make perfect copies. Yes, it might use several programs to do it for free, but free is free. Ripit4me is one. It has a 1 click mode if that is important. All the programs it uses are free.
AnyDVD so slammed here by the original poster, works every time with lifetime updates. It has a free trial period, but i bought mine. Best 40 bucks i ever spent on a copy program.
Everyone has their favorite program/programs, and that is fine. Where you start crossing the line, is calling ppl liers because it hasnt worked for you. No reason to get mad just because you cant get things to work and others can. Blame everyone else and call them liers. Doesnt sound to mature to me. A closed mind is like a closed parachute, your going to crash one of these days.
