I bricked but I'm not exactly sure what I did. I'm pretty sure it was Having less than required battery strength when flashing custom XMB. I wanted to get back to original But I hadn't backed up my own flash0. So I used one I downloaded and set about flashing the whole folder. I think I removed the vsh folder then stuck the original in. Tried booting up...Bricked,ooops,new mobo, lesson kinda learned
Tips,
As soon as you put custom fw on your PSP, back up the flash folders.
Always! check you have at least 70% battery strength.
Try not to delete vsh files. Make sure you have a copy of the file you are changing(same as first tip really but worth repeating) then paste the new file into the vsh folder.
If any of the more informed could pick out exactly at what step I caused the brick please tell.

I once bricked my PSP when i was trying to install an Apple OSX theme and in fustratiion, i erased the whole flash 0. I told Sony something different and they fixed it 4 free. i told the that only the green light turns on and they did't even figue it out that i bricked it. It shows that Sony is gullible to anything

Pleas no caps. Rules. Sounds like a full brick. As of now I think your S.O.L. The only way is to replace the mobo. If you know anybody with a busted psp(screen usually) try to buy it cheap and swap the mobo. Or if you know someone who fixes them (ahem) you could send it to them to fix just pay the shipping. Where you from.

I bricked a customers PSP today try to fit the new Patapon Xmb theme to his fat. There's no compressed PRX's so it won't fit. You should have seen the look on his face when I showed him and said it was a brick. He had already paid for the new screen, clear faceplate and install. I had him going for about five minutes before I told him I'd recover it.
