I found a ps2 dumped. I've opened it up and it seems the disc tray gets caught on the lens when i move the disc tray. the silver strip thing came off the ps2 when itook it apart, and the ps2 isnt loading anything but it turns on. The lens was way outta place but i put it together. So can anybody tell me what I should try to do before closing it and testing it again. (Its the big ps2 btw)

I think if it was worth repairing it, the owner wouldn´t throw it away.

At the end of the tray track there is a small screw. It is hard to explain where it is, but what it does is hold the tray to a gear. This gear moves the lens up when the tray is closed. Anyway, remove this screw and carefully lift the tray out. You will have to mess with it for a bit, but it will eventually go back into proper alignment.

Let me better explain where the screw is. With the PS2 oriented like you have it in the YouTube video, it is on the left close to your body. Let me know if I can help you find it.

Good Luck
